Send an email broadcast (consent and unsubscribe)
A broadcast is a one-off email to a group of members: a class time change, a seasonal offer, or a closure notice. Here is how we compose one, choose who gets it, and send it.
- Open Broadcasts. Open Broadcasts from the app menu. It sits under the owner and manager tools, so we sign in with an owner or manager account to see it.
- Write the message. Give the email a clear subject line, then write the body. Keep it short and specific so members know at a glance what changed or what is on offer.
- Choose the audience. Pick who receives it: all active members, or a smaller group by tag (for example an at-risk group we want to win back). The picker shows the tags we have set up.
- Consent is handled for us. Marketing broadcasts only go to members who opted in to marketing email. We do not filter the list ourselves; anyone who has not consented is left out for us.
- Preview before sending. Use the preview to read the email exactly as a member will see it. Check the subject, the wording, and any dates or times.
- Send the broadcast. When it looks right, send. The email goes out to the chosen audience, and afterwards we can see how many members it reached.
- Unsubscribe is built in. Every marketing broadcast carries a one-click unsubscribe link, so members can opt out in one tap. That keeps us compliant and protects our sending reputation.
- Check the history. The Broadcasts page keeps a list of what we have sent, with the subject, audience, and recipient count, so we can look back at past announcements.
Good to know
- Booking confirmations and receipts are separate. They always send and are not affected by marketing consent.
- Broadcasts are email only.
